  • This is a necklace that is meant to enchant. It is utterly charming in its soft, pastel colours.

  • On either side of the necklace, there are faceted cylinders of aquamarine (13 mm long by 5 mm deep). These are spaced by handmade etched silver beads (4.5 mm) made by the Karen hill tribes in Thailand, using 98% pure silver.

  • The fairly flat aquamarine cylinder beads lead onto the briolettes, which hang wonderfully on the neck, but not on the upper part of the neck.

  • The design is comprised of a faceted crystal bead (8 mm), followed by a faceted briolette (10.2 mm) of heat-treated chalcedony in a watery, sea-green blue, followed by a faceted disc (8.2 mm) of aquamarine, leading to a faceted amethyst briolette (13 mm), which is then framed by the aquamarine disc and the chalcedony briolette. This pattern of stones is then repeated to form the necklace.

  • A handmade, silver toggle clasp has been used because toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.

  • The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.

  • Length 42 cm.
