  • A carved, open work, natural green, jadeite bead (29.6 mm long x 21 mm wide x 11 mm deep) graces the side of a necklace that shimmers with royal blues and greens. It is a colour combination that works well together.

  • On either side of the carved jade bead, sit two sterling silver spacer discs (9 mm) and two, brushed sterling silver logs (12 mm x 7 mm), made by the Karen hill tribes in Thailand, using 98% pure silver.

  • The necklace consists of a pattern of natural, open work lapis rings (12 mm in diameter by 4.5 mm deep) and flat squares of a natural, French blue lapis (varying in size, but approximately 18 mm x 17 mm x 3 mm deep).

  • There are eight, contrasting natural green aventurine beads, the smallest being 9 mm, the medium bead at 10.3 mm, and the largest being 12.3 mm.

  • And to give the necklace a subtle dazzle, I have added three natural, faceted, rock crystal nuggets that again, vary in size, but the largest is 24 mm x 15 mm x 10 mm deep.

  • A silver toggle clasp has been used because toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.

  • The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.

  • Length 47 cm.
