    • Three Strands of Natural Chrysoprase with Sterling Silver Agate Pendant
    • That luscious grass-green colour of natural chrysoprase always makes a refreshing statement. These are three strands of lustrous chrysoprase nuggets (approximately 13 mm x 12. 5 mm) which feed into two handmade silver barrels (9 mm) from South Korea.
    • Hanging on the chrysoprase necklace is a contemporary sterling silver pendant made in Jaipur, India, where very skilled jewellers work. The long pendant is set with a stunning piece of natural banded agate in a tear-drop shape (4 cm long), followed by a similar shaped piece of chrysoprase (1.5 cm) and a round natural pearl (9 cm). The pendant is 7 cm long by 2.5 cm at its widest. It hangs on 3 mm natural smoky quartz beads.
    • A silver toggle clasp has been used because toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.
    • The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.

    • Nature is quite extraordinary.  It is as if someone drew crosses on these brown stone discs.  But that someone was nature.  Chiastolite is of the Andalusite variety of minerals, noted for its distinctive cross-shaped black inclusions of graphite.  The name is derived from the Greek word “chiastos” meaning cruciform.  Often referred to as the Cross Stone, it has been mined in Georgetown California.
    • To combine Chiastolite with simple, matching discs of silver, makes this an easy to wear necklace, for summer or winter, jeans or cords, a white shirt or camisole.
    • The nut-brown discs of Chiastolite are 1½ “across (3 cm) and 8 .5 mm thick.
    • The silver discs are made in China.  They have taken sheets of sterling silver and moulded it around the shape of a perfectly round pebble.  They are just under 1½” (3 cm) and 11 mm thick.
    • At the end of the necklace two handmade nests of sterling silver wire beads (9.6 mm), called “nests of joy”, are made in Thailand.
    • I have used a silver toggle clasp.  Toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.
    • The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with its own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by a Shanghai tailor.
    • The necklace is 19¼ inches long (49 cm).

    • The natural agate discs are 1¼” across (just under 3 cm) and 5 mm thick.
    • The silver discs are made in China.  They have taken sheets of sterling silver and moulded it around the shape of a perfectly round pebble.  They are just under 1½” (3 cm) and 11 mm thick.
    • At the end of the necklace, there are two brushed silver geometric beads (8.6 mm), made in Thailand.
    • I have used a silver toggle clasp.  Toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.

    • This antique Victorian Celtic pendant, inlaid with various natural agates, is full of detail in the silver.  On one side, there is the buckle, a typical Scottish element.  On the inside rim, there is a tiny beading design. While the outside has bullet points. The ring has been inlaid with natural Scottish agates, including a tiger’s eye and a carnelian. At 1 inch in diameter and 3mm in depth, the pendant was once, in fact a small brooch, which I had altered to remove these features so that it could become a pendant.  It hangs on 3 mm carnelian beads.
    • The necklace itself consists of brushed sterling silver lanterns (8.5 mm) from India, faceted cylinders of natural carnelian (8 mm), and faceted cylinders of natural labradorite (9 mm), and natural chrysoprase discs (8mm).
    • Handmade, etched, fair trade silver beads (8 mm)made by the Karen hill tribes in Thailand are interspersed throughout.
    • Karen hill tribe Fair Trade silver is nearly 98% pure silver.  I mostly choose to use their silver because each piece is like a miniature bit of sculpture, individually crafted and created.  I know that artisans in Northern Thailand produce this unique silversmithing in small villages, involving whole families in the process.  Their work is fairly paid, and as a result, their beads are much more expensive. But a family is supported and wonderful beads and jewellery are produced in high quality silver.
    • I have used a Karen hill tribe silver toggle clasp, crafted by two twisted lines of silver.  Toggle clasps are easy to use and secure. My silver name label is attached at the clasp.
    • The necklace comes, like all my necklaces, with it's own colour co-ordinated silk brocaded pouch bag, made by the Shanghai tailor.
    • The necklace is 19 inches long with an inch pendant drop.
